Every Halloween I get a bunch of candy and only a few kids knock on my door. That’s probably a good thing because our Condo Association has a Halloween party for children.
How many trick or treators do you get?
For your Halloween listen pleasure(?), the freakiest singer/screamer in the business, Screaming Jay Hawkins – “I Put A Spell On You”
One of my favorite songs of all time, not just Halloween – Warren Zevon, “Warewolves of London”.
(What hair I do have left is perfect, there just isn’t much of it.)
What is favorite Halloween music?
I look frightening enough just as I am. As a kid I always went trick or treating as a cowboy.
What is you favorite Halloween costume?

Hi Ed! We stayed around a campfire last night – 10 different couple on our street – nice weather – we set up a table with all of our candy in bowls – they could take candy from each. We had maybe 30 kids, noy a lot.
Best costume this year is easy: Robin, on my blog, sent a picture this morning, of her kids outfits. They were dressed as “voting booths”. You had two slots on each both to “vote” for either candidate, she said they even got extra candy – some were trying to “stuff the ballot box”! She said strangers were taking pictures and having a great time with it!

Hi Papa and Ed – I posted about it this morning on my blog – I will probably put some pictures on later – I’m one of the few who has to get film developed still these days (but it was the beginning of the roll). They did take a picture of the kids at Trunk or Treat, but it doesn’t get the whole costume only the front. A friend of mine from church also took some pictures, so I may get those sooner than I get mine developed. I may end up getting mine developed after the baby is born…

Papa, that was a great idea to have a Halloween campfire. Actually any day is a great day for having a campfire. Did you tell “ghost” stories?
For the third in a row not one trick ot treator came to my door. That is a good thing because it probably means the neighborhood kids all went to parties instead. That’s a much better, safer, idea.

Robin, thanks for dropping by. I saw the pictures on your blog and those are terrific costumes. However I think you got the names of the wrong candidates on your “voting machines”. 🙂

Only one ghost story Ed, about a man who was chased home by a coffin – it even broke down the door of the house and trapped him in the bathroom – he quickly opened the medicine cabinet and threw a bottle of Robtussin at it – it stopped the coffin.

Papa, what is the icon for a loud groan. 🙂 Where is Henny Youngman when you need him? 🙂
why don’t skeletons ever go out on the town?
because they don’t have any body to go out with…
why do mummies have trouble keeping friends?
they’re so wrapped up in themselves…
Why do ghouls and demons hang out together?
Because demons are a ghoul’s best friend!
Why wasn’t there any food left after the monster party?
Because everyone was a goblin
