When trying to think of a best of anything I believe that the first choice is the best choice.  I have all of my favorites on my iPod which has over 1,000 songs downloaded to it, so I do have a lot to select from.  It is pretty amazing that my first record collection were this 45 rpm vinyl records.  They took up half my closet.  Now I have 1,000 songs on a machine that fits in my hand.

It was however pretty easy to pick out the ones I like the best.

1) Favorite Singer – Natalie Merchant  http://www.nataliemerchant.com

One of her best songs, “Wonder”.  (Sorry Tam I could not find trouble me on You Tube.)

2) Favorite Song – “Sweet Baby James” by James Taylor, http://www.jamestaylor.com .  My middle name is James.

3. Favorite Romantic Song – “When I Fall In Love” by Nat King Cole , http://www.nat-king-cole.org .

4) I try to do some dancing every day, it’s good for body and mind.  I just have to remember to close the blinds on my windows when I do.  🙂

Favorite Dancing Song – From my disco days.  🙂  “Turn the Beat Around”.  Here is the Gloria Estefan version:

5) The song that inspiries me the most is “Let the River Run” by Carly Simon, http://www.carlysimon.com

“It’s asking for the taking.
Trembling, shaking.
Oh, my heart is aching.
We’re coming to the edge,
running on the water,
coming through the fog,
your sons and daughters.

Let the river run,
let all the dreamers
wake the nation.
Come, the New Jerusalem.

Posters Choice:
