Okay now Ed I’m not a real “favorites” type of girl (except for Mexican food of course!) so they only question I can answer is #4 and the answer is ABSOLUTELY!!
The boys and I dance around the room all the time and I love love love to watch them when they don’t think I am. 😀 Aidan, my 2 year old, is the best dancer ever! He definately has some awesome rythym for his age! haha! Dylan, my 3 year old, is my modest dancer. 😉 And Owen, well he just laughs at all of us! The other day I had Dylan on my back and Aidan on my hip and we were dancing around the living room….SO MUCH FUN!! 😀
So yes, we dance! 😀

okeeeee…. here we go…
1) Darlene Z….no one can belt it like that girl!
2) My favorite song…I don’t have one. Depending on what mood I’m in, it could be pretty much whatever I’m listening to. I have a huge range of music that I like…no one genre.
3) Again, I don’t have a favorite….sometimes I like to get down with some good ol rock n roll, sometimes slowdancin to the oldies, and at times there nothin more fun than line daning with a group of friends…can you tell I don’t like boundries???? 😉
4) All the time!!!! How fun is that!
5) Your love amazes me…
6) Right now? the Revelation song by Gateway Worship…

can I, huh?
1. I can’t decided between Jay Farrar (Uncle Tupelo), Linda Thompson (solo and Richard and Linda Thompson) or James Hetfield of Metallica.
2. I can’t decide between Colors/Dance by George Winston, Not to Us by Chris Tomlin, or Open All Night by Springsteen.
3. Cities by Talking Heads most recently.
4. Yes, but I am usually listening to lectures. Sometimes I dance to them, too.
5. There’s some Mazzy Star song, I can’t remember the name, and I Will Be Here by Steven Curtis Chapman (I sung it to my wife during our wedding)
6. King of Glory by Third Day.

I have heard Linda Thompson and Metallica. Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” is one of the scarcest records I can think of.
I will have to check up on Jay Farrar (Uncle Tupelo).
The “Boss”, Bruce Springsteen is one of my favorites. I did get to see him in a club somewhere in New York, but I am sorry to say I have never been to one of his concerts. Everyone I know who has been to one, and most of the critics I read, say he is the best concert performer in the history if rock & roll.
Dancing to lectures? That is a new one for me. Anything that inspires us is a good reason for dancing.
I also check out “I Will Be Here” by Steven Curtis Chapman. You either have a good voice or your wife really loves you. 🙂

In live performance he tells a little story about each song. I saw him in a small club, I think it was before “Born To Run”. If I remember correctly he did “Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)” so it had to be in the early 1970″s.

Ed, if I could only download such rock and roll history from your brain to mine…I am greatly, greatly envious. Are you familiar with the song “NEw York City Serenade”? It is off the same album as “Rosalita” and is a close second as my favorite Springsteen song. It is worth buying that fantastic album just for that song. manOman, Ed.

Sprinsteen is one of the best story tellers in music. “New York Serenade” is a great song.
I found this performance on YouTube:

BuddyO
1) Sting
2) Probably have to say Kashmir
3) Is This Love – Whitesnake.. was the first dance at my wedding
4) Sure… I like to dance with my 9 year old daughter… I figure I’ll get it in while she still likes me.
5) romantic… We’ll Be Together – Sting (lots of memories) … although AC/DC Back in Black… nah, I won’t go there…
6) There’s a ton… right now if I pick one… Hush – Waterdeep

Hi BuddyO, Sting definately belongs on everyone’s top 10.
Kashmir – I think Led Zeppelin is the best all around rock groups. Kashmir does separate them from other groups in the hard rock genre.
A song by Whitesnake as a first wedding dance. It shows you that a groups name does not always reflect their music.
It might be best to get in some dancing with your daughter before she discovers boys. 🙂
I agree it might best to not to link AC/DC with romance, at least not in a public place like the Internet. 🙂 The first garment that I owned and really like was my black leather jacket. Now if I every did learn how to ride a motorcycle I would really have looked cool.
I am not familiar with Water Deep. I will check them out.
Thanks to posting your choice.

If you like Natalie Merchant you’ll like the female singer from Waterdeep – Lori Chafer. The album that contains Hush is called “Everyone Is Beautiful”. It is one of my top 5 favortie albums ever.
I just got Stings “Bring on the Night” DVD for christmas. I had the VHS but who’s watched a VHS in the past 8 years?? It’s awesome… That album and band are just killer.
Whitesnake has been around since the late 70’s. Former Deep Purple vocalist David Coverdale started the band in 77. The were a bluesey hard rock group ala americanized Zep. Our wedding song came off thier first platinum album which was released in 87.
AC/DC — depends on your definition of ‘romantic’ I guess… 😉

Did someone say Sting? I was such a huge Police fan int he 80’s. When i was in Jr. High my mom got me my own set of dishes for my birthday that were colored, red, yellow, and blue. Anyone remember those color swooshes on their Synchronicity album???
Every Breath You Take…all time favorite song. I remember New Years Eve night staying awake listening to Casey Casem’s (sp?) top 100 songs of 1983. i just KNEW, to the bottom of my toes, Every Breath would be #1. And it was!!!! I believe it had held the number 1 spot for 13 straight weeks that year. It’s a classic. THEN…Sting (Matthew Gordon Sumner) went Solo and HELLO! Could it get any better? Geeze! i only like’em a wee bit! 😯
2nd favorite…EAGLES! Make me smile!!!

correction…Gordon Matthew Sumner…said it right in my head and backwards through my fingers 😀

BuddyO
Have you seen “Bring on the Night”?
It documents preparing for his first solo tour for Dream of the Blue Turtles.
“Nothing Like the Sun” and “Bring on the Night” are at the top of my list. Kathy and I saw a couple of his solo shows. I got to sit in on a small workshop he put on at an Audio Engineering Society trade show when I was in my early twenties.

I have seen the “Bring On the Night”. I agree Sting did some of his best work in “Dream of the Blue Turtles”.
Wow, BuddyO you got to meet the man himself. Now I know Tam is jealous. I have the impression he is a very straight forward guy.
He started out as a jazz singer so I guess that was his real preference, not R&R.
I did get all the Police albums. “Roxanne” and “Every Breath You Take” are both songs that I do play and enjoy now.
Tam. you left of the “Thomas” from his name, Gordan Mathew Thomas Sumner. I cheated and peeked at Wikipedia. 🙂

I may have left Thomas out, but I carried the rest of those names in my heart for 25 years now. Crap I’m gettin’ old!

Don’t worry Tam, when you reach my age you will starting getting younger. Or at least you will forget how all you really are. 🙂
I just found my 1961 high school year book. Who is that guy with all that hair? 🙂

I guess my eyes are going just like my brain. I just typed “all” instead of “old” in my above comment.
I can think of three movies Sting was in. He played “Face” in a movie by the Who. “Dune” and “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels”.

Dune being the best! I liked the costumes…what little of them there were.
