Having one source to help you in life makes finding the right guidance much easier. Christian’s have the Bible, Jews have the Torah, Muslims have the Qur’an. In the movie “You’ve Got Mail” Tom Hanks had the Godfather saga.
I’ll go with the Muppets.
My friend Tam in her blog asked about body image.
Kermit the Frog – “It Not Easy Being Green”
Mandy has been blogging about happiness:
Muppets & REM – “Furry Happy Monsters”
Of course nothing is more important than love and marriage:
Kermit and Miss Piggy get married.
Everyone have a great weekend.

i find there is much to admire in the Muppets.
There is a lot to be said for having a single source of wisdom to follow.
i prefer mine to be supernatural – at least superior to most of man’s nature anyway

“i prefer mine to be supernatural – at least superior to most of man’s nature anyway.”
I will guess that Miss Piggy (Mrs. Frog?) will agree, but she will add that Pig & Frog nature are also superior to man’s, as Hoverfrog notes.

I agree Hover.
Also if you don’t like their advice you can always have them for dinner.
(Insert frog with artifical limb joke)

I love green! I think green and blue are God’s favorite colors…just have a look around.
For my freshman recital in college I had to sing, “The Rainbow Connection,” another Kermit song. At the time I felt humiliated…now I love it!

Since both my grandmothers were Irish I have to agree about God’s love of the color green.
Not to bring back any bad memories:

Wow…thanks, Ed! I didn’t recall Karen Carpenter performing it…love her. I wish I could say I sounded as smooth, but I really struggled with singing that song.
Thanks, again.

Michelle, maybe you just needed Kermit there to help inspire you.
My voice is a lot closer to sounding like a frogs, than Karen Carpenter’s.

I guess I disagree that the Bible is the source Of “all knowledge”. It may be one of my “cornerstones” and a part of my foundation – but I was blessed with Godly parents who helped lay my life foundation. We could argue that their foundation came from the Bible – but I got to watch their lives – as my son watches mine. And he is almost 40. My Bible is important – it is a major part of my life – but life is made up of many decisions – from many knowledge sources.

LOL – Oh Debs! I think we probably agree – just taking a different approach – with caution! I have to agree with Ed about the women comment though! Ha!

The Bible does contain great moral wisdom, but I am not sure it will show you how about how to bridle, and ride, a horse, or when to seed and harvest your crops.
I think most Bibles are only 1,000 or so pages long. Not nearly enough pages of guidance to help us guys understand women.

Debs
God did give us common sense
but these should be helpful…..
Psalm 32:9 “Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle,or it will not stay near you.”
Proverbs 26:3 “A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the back of fools.”
Isaiah 37:30 “”And this shall be the sign for you: this year you shall eat what grows of itself, and in the second year what springs from that. Then in the third year sow and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.”
2 Kings 19:29 “”And this shall be the sign for you: this year eat what grows of itself, and in the second year what springs of the same. Then in the third year sow and reap and plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.”
As for women Zechariah 9:17 “For how great is his goodness, and how great his beauty! Grain shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the young women.”….what more do you need to know????

Hi Tam. What makes the world such a wonderful place is the love we can share, even when we are miles apart.
What ties our blogging community together is love.
