I will be celebrating the 4th of July with my cousin, her son and some friends.
Everyone have a great holiday weekend, including my friends from outside our shores.
I am re-posting two patriotic songs from last year:
America The Beautiful – Ray Charles
Our Country – The Boston Pops & John Mellencamp

I don’t know of a song by Bruce Sprinsteen called “Born on the 4th of July”.
A big hit of his is “Born In the USA”. This is an interesting live acoustic version of his.

The Folk singer Tom Paxton wrote an anti-war song “Born On the Fourth of July”, can’t find a copy of it on YouTube.
Lyrics – http://www.mydfz.com/Paxton/lyrics/botfoj.htm
Chorus:
“I was born on the fourth of July
No one more loyal than I
When my country said so, I was ready to go,
And I wish I’d been left there to die.”

Ha! – i had a ’seniors moment’
Was thinking of the Movie – ‘Born on the 4th of July’ (which co-incidentally does NOT have Bruce Springsteen’s song in it – but it should)

Hi Rain. I had a great time, thanks for asking.
We seemed to be on different schedules. You post on the weekend, when I go off line.

I know, most people seem to be offline over the weekend and that’s mostly when I have free time.
Oh well, I’ll try to catch up;)
