Just to show you that there is a blog for everything I found the following yesterday.
Cake Wrecks – http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/
Divorce Cake:
No comment:
The bride must have had a bit of an ego:
James Bond Cake:
A different kind of Baby Cake:
Now this is my idea of a great cake:
Do you remember anything funny or interesting that happened at your wedding, or if your are not married then your high school prom, that you can share.
I have never been married and I don’t remember anything but dancing at our class prom and having a good time at a friends after prom party. I do remember his parents were on vacation.

the “push” cake made my eyes bulge.
i grew up on carvel ice cream cakes for every cake-worthy occasion. my mom does NOT bake.
something funny/interesting at our wedding… hmmm… i wore an apron during the meal since i’m notorious for “splatting” on myself. (my grandma handmade it for me since she couldn’t make it to africa for the wedding.) then niel put the wedding on and danced with me like that. those pictures make me laugh.
i can’t think of anything else, though i’m sure there was more…

Ed, that cracks me up! It is amazing what people can do with cakes! So not married but for my Senior Prom my friends and I rented a short bus to drive us around town, dinner, houses, and then to the school! It was awesome and I have never had that much fun in a bus since then!

Beautiful (?) cakes Ed. Patti makes cakes. Wedding cakes, baby shower cakes, etc. I’ll have to post some more pictures … I will have to show her these to see if she gets any ideas.
Tam: So cake immediately sends your thoughts there… Is Brent aware of this Pavlovian response?

I can’t believe you would post that push cake!!!! That shade of lipstick is hideous!!!
My only memories of my wedding… 13 years ago are just a perfect day to a perfect man. Now prom, that was a different story…LOL

Alece, do you still have that apron? My step-mother always bought ice cream cakes for birthdays. I actually prefer the “soft” style of ice cream for hot summer days.
Rachele, A bus full of high school kids does sound like a great way to enjoy the night. Great idea.
Tam, I would share more of that night, except I really can’t remember any details. That may have something to do with the amount of alcohol that I am sure was consumed. You and Brent waited until you go to the hotel? I’ll bet you did not spend much time at the reception.
Ric, does Patti let you have any free samples of her cakes? You must have a lot of will power. If I had a wife who made wedding cakes I would probably weigh about 50 lbs more than I do.
Deb, getting married to the perfect man will make any day “perfect”. Your are so full of life now I can imagine you would have been a lot fun to be around in high school.

oh holy cow i could’ve gone without that labor cake.
wow.
we kept our “top” of the cake until our first year…. but there was something about eating a year-old cake (even though frozen) that just didn’t work for me.
so, on our first anniversary, we threw it out!

Perfection, just simply perfection, that was our wedding! I really don’t remember the reception, mama, did we have one? We didn’t wait until the motel – after the reception we went to our house and spent the first night there! Hid the car, no one even suspected we were there! The next day, we got up about noon and went north!

Mandy, did you at least have a little ceremony, remember your vows, something before you just throw out that wedding cake.
Papa, I can see where your wedding was a perfect as your marriage has been, well maybe not the whole 30+ years.
Spending your wedding night in your car. I guess that is why they called the seat in the back of old model cars, the “rumble” seat.

Danielle, those are some crazy looking cakes. Although I can think of a few people I could send the “horse’s behind” cake to.

Those are by far the craziest cakes I’ve ever seen! I love the divorce cake and the James Bond ones. Hilarious!

Hi Brad, “crazy cakes” are great way to get creative, and funny, in expressing ourselves. More importantly that taste good as well.
Thanks for stopping by with a commnet. I look forward to seeing more of your comments.
