Most artist work in a medium I can’t relate to, acrylic, oils, pastels, etc. I found one artist who use a medium very familiar to me, “dirty car art”:
Texas artist scott wade lives in hill country, an area where very fine dust is kicked up on backs of vehicles that move “any faster than a galloping turtle.” using paintbrushes to remove select areas of dust, shapes and figures emerge and the results are pretty amazing.
A video about artist Scott Wade:
I have never tried painting on any type of medium, except finger painting as a child. That was fun because it was messy. Have you tried painting on type of medium?

I’ve got to show these to my kids! I have always told them, do not draw on the cars with your fingers…..but it is so tempting! I have a couple of little artists that just might get really excited about this!
What a great way to turn a negative into a positive!:-)

that is incredible. he’s got some serious talent.
i’ve never painted (aside from good ol’ finger painting in elementary school). i think it could be therapeutic but i know i wouldn’t be very good at it.
